Outcalt Foundation Grant Letter of Inquiry P.O, Box 1925 Alamosa, CO 81101
Letters of Inquiry should be brief (no more than two pages) and should include the:
Name, address and tax status of the applicant
Purpose of the grant
Explanation of how it aligns with the mission of The Foundation
Amount requested
The letter should identify the need, opportunity, and potential impact of the proposal if funded. Finally, the letter should briefly identify how the effort will be sustained after The Foundation funding ceases.
The Foundation focuses on opportunities to award grants that reflect not just present need but also create opportunity and potential impact. We review projects by:
What need(s) will be addressed?
How will the opportunity be harnessed to produce a long-term solution?
How will the success of the project impact the San Luis Valley community beyond the direct beneficiaries?
Please note that The Foundation responds only to those letters of inquiry selected to move forward. Grant inquiries selected to move forward in the process will receive a signed letter requesting submission of a fully completed Grant Application - as outlined in Step 2. Please be sure to include both a copy of your Letter of Inquiry and a copy of the signed letter from The Foundation requesting the grant application submission.
